Lead Discovery: find businesses by city and type
Answer: Lead Discovery searches the public web by city and business type. Results only include emails found in the source. You review and click Add — nothing auto-imports. Cap around 30 results per run — a public-email cap, not a quality or conversations guarantee.
Type a business category and a location. LeadFlow searches the public web and returns businesses whose emails appear in the source — you click Add. Cap around 30 per run; monthly search quota by plan.
Lead Discovery searches the public web by business type (for example, 'dentists') and city (for example, 'Austin, TX'). It returns matching businesses whose emails appear in the source — you click Add. Nothing auto-imports.
Run a discovery
- 1Open the Lead Discovery view.
- 2Choose a business type — either pick from the suggested list or type your own (restaurants, law firms, gyms, salons, and so on).
- 3Enter a city or area.
- 4Click search. LeadFlow searches the public web (Tavily) by city and type and keeps emails that appeared in the source (Discover fitScore orders the list — not the saved CRM score).
- 5Review the returned businesses — cap around 30 results, emails only when they appear in the source — and click Add (or add several at once).
Added businesses become pipeline leads
Every business you add becomes a normal lead record in the Leads view and pipeline. On Pro, scoring recalculates after create. Tasks and sequences are Pro.
Discover search quota
Each Discover run counts as one search: Free 2/month, Pro 50/month, Business unlimited monthly searches. Each run still caps around 30 public-email results — not an unbounded dump. Presence Audit is a separate quota (Free 1, Pro 5, Business unlimited). If you hit a limit, LeadFlow tells you instead of failing silently — wait for the next month or upgrade from the Billing view.
