Tasks: never miss a follow-up

Answer: Tasks are follow-up to-dos attached to individual leads with priority and due dates. Overdue items stand out at a glance, and you check them off as you work.

Create to-dos for individual leads with priorities and due dates, spot overdue items at a glance, and check them off as you work.

The Tasks view is your personal follow-up list. Tasks are linked to a specific lead, carry a title, due date, and priority, and appear both here and on the lead's own detail drawer so nothing falls through the cracks.

Create a task

  1. 1Open the Tasks view and click New task.
  2. 2Give it a title (for example, 'Follow up on proposal').
  3. 3Attach it to the relevant lead, set a due date, and choose a priority: High, Medium, or Low.
  4. 4Save. The task now shows in the list and in that lead's Tasks tab.

Work the list

  • Priority colors — High, Medium, and Low are color-coded so urgent items pop.
  • Overdue labels — tasks past their due date are flagged immediately, so nothing quietly expires.
  • Complete — check a task off and it disappears from the list.
  • Delete — remove a task that's no longer needed.
Pro tip: Tasks shine when paired with automations. You can build an automation that creates a task automatically when a lead changes status — for example, 'When a lead becomes Qualified, create a high-priority task: book a demo.' See the Automations tutorial.
